Welcome to My World: How God Inspired Me to Write and Share His Love

Hello and welcome to my little corner of the internet! My name is Shabriya Hill, and I am thrilled to have you here. As I write this first blog post, I feel a wave of excitement. This space will serve as a platform for sharing my journey, my passion for storytelling, and my deep love for Christ.

I have loved writing for as long as I can remember. From daydreaming about characters as a child to now crafting full stories as an adult, I have always felt passionate about putting pen to paper. My journey as a writer took on new meaning when I felt called to use this gift to inspire others to follow Christ and deepen their relationship with Him.

My Passion for Writing

Storytelling is magical. It connects hearts and souls while transcending barriers. I believe God has given us stories to share, not just for entertainment but to inspire and guide one another. For me, writing is a ministry—a way to express God’s love and to teach others about His goodness.

As an entrepreneur, I love creative outlets. I have spent countless hours in the kitchen as a chef, preparing meals with love for my family. Yet there is a longing inside me to share more than just recipes. Through my books, I want to weave narratives that reveal God’s grace and mercy. For example, in my debut book "I Can't Turn Back" how God's grace through out my stubbornness and mistakes ultimately brought me closer to him and revealed the way, the truth and the life; Jesus. It shows how surrendering to the Lord can change one's life.

My Family and Faith Journey

Alongside my passion for writing, I wear many hats—wife, mom, chef, and entrepreneur. My husband and I are blessed with two beautiful daughters who bring joy to our lives. Raising them has taught me about love, patience, and faith. Each day offers lessons in trusting God and leaning into His wisdom.

My faith in Christ has been my guiding light. The journey has not always been easy; like many, I have faced challenges like job loss and health issues that tested my resolve. But it is in those struggles that I have felt God urging me to share my story. I want my daughters to see the importance of resilience and serving Him, even in tough times (And there has beeen many).

The Purpose Behind My Writing

My books are not just words; they are extensions of my heart, aimed at sharing God's love in relatable ways. I encourage readers to enter a vibrant relationship with Christ and embrace the transformative power of a rich spiritual life.

Storytelling is a powerful tool for illuminating biblical truths. I aim to create relatable characters and scenarios reflecting real-life challenges while weaving in lessons from the Bible.
